Mira Lee, O.D., is a 2005 graduate of the State University of New York, State College of Optometry. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1996. As an undergraduate, Dr. Lee volunteered at the Esperanza Health Center as a medical assistant serving the under-privileged community of North Philadelphia. She also participated in volunteer work at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Lee did one of her externship rotations in the Contact Lens Department of SUNY College of Optometry, where she had extensive experience fitting keratoconus patients and toric contact lens wearers. She has also had experience in primary care, ocular disease, pediatrics, low vision, and vision therapy through her externship rotations.
Dr. Lee has participated in several eye care missions to Oaxaca, Mexico with the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, a group she was actively involved with while at school. She currently resides in Manhattan with her husband, Nathan. She has recently given birth to twins, a boy and a girl.
